In our western society, we are able to break down the tiniest particles in cyclotrons and send rockets into space, but we know very little about our own mind. The meeting of the West with the East was one of the most important events in the history of our civilization. Buddhist philosophy and methods of working with the mind can be a valuable addition to the spectacular scientific and technical progress in the West.
